Harveen Khuman began her journey in mental health through the study of psychology, fostering an initial interest in psychotherapy. As she delved deeper into the intricacies of human behavior and emotion, she wanted understand individuals from a broader perspective. This curiousity propelled her towards a Masters in Social Work, and further training as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. In her current roles with Painless and in a private psychiatric hospital, Harveen dedicates herself to providing trauma-informed psychological therapy that is both client-centered and deeply empathetic.

My Background

Having combined her grounding in psychology with the expansive landscape of social work, Harveen achieved accreditation as a Mental Health Social Worker - enabling her to offer medicare rebates for Mental Health Treatment Plans. Her current role in a private psychiatric hospital places her at the frontline of care, where she assists patients grappling with complex PTSD and other intricate mental health challenges.

Her breadth of experience includes aiding clients through mood disorders, anxiety, stress, burnout, grief, life transitions, relationship hurdles, emotion dysregulation, and the profound impact of pain and trauma. In 2023, Harveen joined the Painless team to deepen her expertise in the nuanced interrelationship between trauma and persistent pain and illness.
