My Story

For as long as I can remember, I have had a keen interest in learning about the body and how we move.

I graduated from Curtin University in 2007 and went onto work in a number of private physiotherapy practices in Perth and London - where I worked both privately and for the NHS.

I returned home to Perth in 2012 & started Physiotherapy service delivery in my hometown region, the Western Wheatbelt of WA.

My interests in Pain Management & Chronic Pain largely began after suffering a severe whiplash injury in 2010, subsequent cervical disc injury in 2012 & after losing my Dad to cancer.

During this time, I developed a keen interest in learning about pain & how we come to embody pain.

Given my own experiences, I spent time further studying as well as observing and working in different pain clinics in Sydney. I joined Painless Health in 2019.

My Approach

First and foremost, Physiotherapy for chronic pain involves understanding your pain experience. From here, we can explore your goals for Physiotherapy treatment together.

As we navigate your chronic pain experience together, you might experience different emotions, physical feelings and subsequent questions surrounding your sense of self, your identity and purpose in life.

I feel grief, loss and trauma are part of chronic pain experiences, and so, chronic pain can take time to understand and work through.

I recognise managing chronic pain is both multi-layered & requires the support of other practitioners.
My aim is to inspire confidence and hope through providing you with practical tools and strategies to assist you to better understand your pain, regain movement and improve your overall function.

I look forward to meeting you & starting your Physiotherapy treatment here at Painless Health.
