Painless is currently seeking a dedicated Pain Medicine Specialist to become an integral part of our team. As a key member of our clinic, you will contribute not only your clinical expertise, but also your natural inquisitiveness and heartfelt aspiration to make a significant positive change in the lives of our patients.

At Painless, we acknowledge the profound effects chronic pain can have on all facets of an individual's existence. We strive to address this challenging condition through a comprehensive approach, taking into account the physical, emotional, and cognitive facets of a patient's experience. We are in search of a specialist who aligns with our philosophy and is eager to contribute their unique insights and capabilities to our collective efforts.

Location: The role allows for both remote and/or in-clinic options, facilitating an ideal work-life balance.

Working Hours: We offer flexible working hours, starting from as little as 4 hours per week.

Your Role at Painless

In your capacity as a Pain Medicine Specialist, you will act as a trusted advisor, collaborator, and guide, directing our patients towards a life unhindered by chronic pain. You will have the unique opportunity to work in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of committed professionals, including physiotherapists, psychologists, occupational therapists, general practitioners, and other pain medicine specialists. Collectively, you will devise a comprehensive care plan, tailored to address each patient's distinct needs and personal goals.

Moreover, this position provides the ideal balance of professional engagement and lifestyle flexibility. Regardless of whether you are seeking to diversify your current patient portfolio or looking to recalibrate your work commitments, this opportunity can be seamlessly integrated into your existing schedule, requiring a commitment of only 4 hours per week at minimum.

Your Duties and Responsibilities

  • In addition to diagnosing and treating pain conditions, you will have a pivotal role in educating our patients about their conditions, the range of available treatments, and the strategies they can use to manage their pain.
  • Your role will also involve the balancing act of medication management and procedural interventions. With your expert knowledge and compassionate approach, you'll help our patients find an optimal balance.
  • You'll collaborate closely with our Pain Coaches, who personify our transition from the biopsychosocial model to the enactive framework. Together, you'll provide a comprehensive, integrative, and personalised approach to pain management that fosters our patients' resilience.
  • Finally, in the ever-evolving field of pain management, we encourage curiosity and the pursuit of new knowledge. If you're passionate about conducting research, advancing our understanding of pain, and exploring new treatment modalities, we would wholeheartedly support your endeavours.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a pain medicine specialist who is not only medically skilled and technologically adept but is also passionate about transforming the lives of individuals in pain. We are looking for someone who empathises with the complex challenges of chronic pain and wants to make a real difference in an interdisciplinary team.

What We Expect

We expect a high level of autonomy, backed by substantial expertise in the pain medicine field and a willingness to collaborate within our interdisciplinary approach. You should be a Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FFPMANZCA).

What You Can Expect

At Painless, you can expect to join a committed and compassionate team, driven by the shared vision of a life free from pain. You can look forward to an intellectually stimulating environment where your unique perspectives and ideas are welcomed and appreciated. We will support you with the latest tools, technologies, and developments in pain science.

We invite you to join us on our journey towards creating a more compassionate and effective approach to pain care.
