Dr. Yvette Bruce isn't just a seasoned General Practitioner — she's a beacon of warmth, compassion, and dedication in the field of pain management and mental health. Her own deeply personal experience with persistent pain has imbued her with a profound empathy, allowing her to connect with patients on a level few can. Throughout her career, Yvette has developed an expansive skillset and deep understanding of persistent pain. She now offers that to patients with all forms of persistent pain at Painless, as well as to medical registrars, in her mentorship role for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

My Background

Beginning her medical journey at Edith Cowan University and later securing her MBBS with honours from The University of Western Australia, Yvette's professional path has been impressively varied. From nursing, adult medicine, and paediatrics to pain management, obstetrics & gynaecology, and mental health at premier institutions, she has embraced a multitude of roles. However, it's Yvette's lived experiences—her personal journey with pain and illness—that truly shape her approach, ensuring her patients feel seen, understood, and reassured they're not alone.

In addition to her vast clinical experience, Yvette played a key role in establishing the Bullsbrook Medical Center. Recognising her depth of knowledge and passion for nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals, she also assumed a mentorship role as a RACGP Registrar Supervisor.

Aligning seamlessly with the values and interdisciplinary model at Painless, Yvette joined our team in 2023 to deepen her focus on persistent pain and complex conditions.
